We at Younameit GmbH take data protection very seriously. Therefore, we would like to inform you about how we handle your data and the legal rights you are entitled to. This is based on both Austrian and European data protection regulations – in particular, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR 2016/679), the Data Protection Act (DSG).

Before we inform you about how we process your data, we want to clarify the concept of personal data. Following our processing activities, we would like to inform you about the data protection principles and the rights you have. Moreover, we aim to show you how you can exercise your rights.

1. Personal data
In general Personal data includes all information related to an identified or identifiable natural person (referred to as “data subject”). Examples are names, addresses, email addresses, phone numbers, dates of birth, age, gender. There are also special categories of personal data (referred to as “sensitive data”), such as health data or data related to criminal proceedings as understood by the GDPR. Only such personal data that is necessary for the execution and processing of our services or that is provided to us voluntarily will be collected.

2. Storage of personal data
We receive, collect and store any information you enter on our website or provide us in any other way. We only use any personal data which you provide to us electronically on this website, such as your name, email address, address or other personal particulars provided on a form or when commenting on a blog together with the time and IP address for the stated purpose. We will store your data securely and will not share it with third parties. This means we only use your personal data to communicate with visitors who expressly consent to being contacted and to process the services and products offered on this website. We do not share these data without your consent, but we cannot guarantee that they will not be accessed illegally. We are unable to guarantee the secure transfer and protection of any personal data you send us by email, i.e., outside of this website. We recommend that you encrypt all confidential data you send by email.

2. Access and Deletion
You have the right at any time to revoke any consent given for the use of personal data. Requests for access, deletion, correction, objection, and/or data transfer can be directed to Younameit GmbH. If you believe that our processing of personal data violates applicable data protection laws or infringes on data protection claims in some other way, you have the option to lodge a complaint with the relevant supervisory authority, which in Austria is the Data Protection Authority.

3. Data Security
The protection of personal data is ensured through appropriate organizational and technical measures. These measures particularly aim to protect against unauthorized, illegal, or accidental access, processing, loss, use, and manipulation. Despite our efforts to maintain a consistently high level of due diligence, we cannot exclude the possibility that information shared over the Internet may be viewed and used by others. Please note, therefore, that we accept no liability whatsoever for the disclosure of information due to data transmission errors and/or unauthorized access by third parties (e.g., hacking attacks on email accounts or phones, interception of faxes).

8. Cookies
We use cookies on our website. A cookie is a small text file that stores internet settings. Almost every website uses cookie technology, downloaded by your internet browser on the first visit to our website. On subsequent visits with the same device, the cookie and the information stored in it are either sent back to the website that generated it or to another website to which it belongs. This recognizes that the website has been accessed with this browser before, and in some cases, varies the content displayed. Cookies are very useful as they can improve the user experience on revisiting a website you have visited several times, assuming you use the same device and browser, by remembering your preferences, sharing how you use a page, and tailoring displayed offers to your personal interests and needs.

9. Use of Google Analytics
On our site, we use the "Google Maps" component from Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA ("Google"). Each time the "Google Maps" component is accessed, Google sets a cookie to process user settings and data when displaying the page that includes the "Google Maps" component. This cookie is not usually deleted by closing the browser but expires after a set period unless manually deleted by you beforehand. If you do not consent to this processing of your data, you have the option to disable the "Google Maps" service, thereby preventing the transmission of data to Google. To do this, you must disable the JavaScript function in your browser. However, we would like to point out that in this case, you may not be able to use the "Google Maps" component, or only to a limited extent. For details about the scope and purpose of this data collection, further processing and use of the data by "Google," as well as your rights and setting options for protecting your privacy, please refer to Google's privacy policy and the Google Terms of Service, which can be accessed at http://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/terms/regional.html and https://www.google.com/intl/de_de/help/terms_maps.html, respectively.
